Teams billing is per active seat, centralized on the team. Individual members never enter card details.

Seat types

Seat type is independent of role: Standard and Premium seats can be assigned to Members or Admins. The Unpaid Admin seat exists only for the Unpaid Admin role and carries no product access. Rows work the same as on individual plans: see Usage, limits & billing for what counts as a row. Teams keys get the 600 requests/minute rate-limit tier.

Yearly billing

Yearly billing takes 20% off: $32 per Standard seat and $96 per Premium seat per month, billed annually. Switch from monthly to yearly anytime from Dashboard → Billing; the switch applies immediately with proration. Switching from yearly back to monthly is not available mid-plan: cancel, let the year end, then re-subscribe monthly.

Proration rules

  • Adding seats mid-cycle charges only for the remaining days of the billing period at the seat’s rate.
  • Standard to Premium upgrades apply immediately, with the difference prorated for the rest of the cycle.
  • Premium to Standard downgrades apply at the next renewal. The member keeps Premium usage until then.
  • Removing a member who has consumed included rows this cycle keeps the seat billed until the end of the cycle. If they consumed nothing, the seat is released immediately and a prorated credit is applied to the next invoice.
  • Role changes to or from Unpaid Admin adjust billing from the change date, since Unpaid Admin seats are free.
Your renewal date never moves; member changes prorate against the existing cycle.

On-demand usage

After a member exhausts their seat’s included rows, additional usage bills on demand at $0.004/row, the same flat rate as every other tier. The team pays: overage invoices go to the team’s payment method, and members never opt in individually. Admins control on-demand from Dashboard → Spending:
  • A team-wide on-demand toggle. Off means members hit 402 quota_exceeded when their included rows run out.
  • A team-wide monthly spending limit.
  • A default per-member spend limit, plus per-member overrides.
  • An admin-only toggle that locks these controls away from members.

Minimums and invariants

  • Teams start at 2 seats.
  • Every team keeps at least one Admin and at least one paid member at all times. Operations that would violate this are rejected.
