Field where Jersey Gregorette holds world records, and an Olympic snatch is mentioned.
Final one, which is like in this realm is going to be an Olympic lift. I think this one looks like it's a snatch. So, this is it's kind of kind of building up to it, right? We've done deadlift, back squat, overhead squat. These are probably things you would train if you wanted to have a heavy snatch. So, where where would you put this one? Because I think this is in terms of the frequency, it's already rare for me. I I would say in terms of efficacy and sort of measurable elements of it transfer in terms of to certain climbing movements. I think it's really really really good. I'd still put it in rare. So I've I've trained snatch and I've trained um clean and jerk quite a bit. Clean and jerk I think is isn't as good. So, if we're talking Olympic lifts, cleaning jerk for me is definitely not as good because of uh mobility around the forearms in the catching position. Um the snatch provides far more stimulus for the shoulders um in the range that I think is more transferable personally. Um but having taught this to a few climbers now, I just think it's something that you need to be really committed to doing on a regular basis and checking in with your form and learning it properly, which takes a lot of time. and you're better off spending that on the wall. So, I'd put rare. I'd agree. I think it's I think you're going to find people doing this just because they they like the lift. So, if we're talking about buyin and they come to you and they're like, "Right, we're going to start doing Olympic lifts cuz I think it's good for your climbing." There's a lot of barriers to get through before you can even start doing it.

The trendline is visible, but the dated evidence behind Olympic Weightlifting is in the premium layer.
